It needs the corresponding VC Runtime. Usually most systems have it installed from other software already but you can get it here https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downloa ... x?id=52685

Good catch! I'll look into updating the precompiled client instructions with a cutting edge option to use the H'uru CI. I've been waiting for automated builds for a while. It's nice to have them available now.

I remember some weirdness with console keys. On my german keyboard it is the ö key. Since the Swedish keyboard has that in the same place, try ö.

The link book issue may also be due to an older client. You can try opening the console and use the command "Net.LinkToMyNeighborhoodAge".

You can extract it wherever you want. Because of Windows being Windows, it might be better to do outside Program Files. Key is to have avi/dat/sfx alongside the files from the precompiled client archive. I haven't updated the client in a while, so if you run into an issue with running it, I may have ...

What do you mean? Just don't open it. I don't think it can be disabled and is simply part of an internal client. There may be a way to change the keybind though.
