Re: Precompiled H'uru Client
I remember some weirdness with console keys. On my german keyboard it is the ö key. Since the Swedish keyboard has that in the same place, try ö.

Re: Precompiled H'uru Client
The link book issue may also be due to an older client. You can try opening the console and use the command "Net.LinkToMyNeighborhoodAge".

Re: Precompiled H'uru Client
You can extract it wherever you want. Because of Windows being Windows, it might be better to do outside Program Files. Key is to have avi/dat/sfx alongside the files from the precompiled client archive. I haven't updated the client in a while, so if you run into an issue with running it, I may have...

Re: Precompiled H'uru Client
What do you mean? Just don't open it. I don't think it can be disabled and is simply part of an internal client. There may be a way to change the keybind though.

Re: Precompiled H'uru Client
That's a bit stange, it should work on Win 10. When do you get that message? Instantly?

Re: How to commit and test fan ages
Well, I was talking more technically than necessary. For starters, you can try to send someone your age and have them put it into their game folder. When they are online and agree, you can link them to you via the console.
Code: Select all
Net.LinkPlayerHere <KI number>

Re: How to commit and test fan ages
Haha, to be fair, when I set that up I wasn't even aware dirtsand would allow folks to link to their ages without the server knowing about it. In any case, I kept it in case there are some unknown side-effects (not sure how it behaves in multiplayer or if i would want to set up a global instance). B...

Re: Localization Editor
Loc files are XML-like files. Technically, you don't need any tool to edit them. The Localization Editor is an extra little application that can be used to create and maintain localization files as well. It is part of the URU client source code, but I don't have a precompiled version of it ready for...
